Fall/ Winter Festivals in Korea

     Now that places start opening back up again here in Korea, is known for the festivals in every season. So in this blog, I will show you the festivals that take place here in Korea.

 

Seoul Lantern Festival

Date: Month of November

Location: Cheongyecheon

This lantern event is such an experience that you have to join and can't miss out on. Seeing the lanterns on such a beautiful night is something you can’t miss. This festival is located in Cheonggyecheon, purpose is for people to reach the heart of Seoul with the light sculpture from Hanji lanterns.

 

Seoul Kimchi Festival

Date: Saturday 26 November 2022,

Location: All Saints Church | 14-16 Market Place | Kingston upon Thames KT1 1JP |

Hours: 11:30 am - 3pm

     The 2022 Korea Kimchi Festival, a worldwide endeavor to promote kimchi from Korea, the origin of kimchi, to the globe and to put superfood kimchi on the world's table, will be hosted in four nations in November, including Korea, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, and the United States.

 

 

 

Herb Island Pink Muhly Festival

Date: Sept. 20 ~ Nov. 20

Location: 170 Donoreum-ro, Pyoseon-myeon, Seogwipo

Hours: 09:00 ~ 22:00

 

If you looking for a relaxed time of your life, this is the place for you, looking at the beautiful scenery of the Pink Muhly and delicious soft served ice-cream.

 

Seoul Christmas Festival

Date: Dec. 4 ~ Jan. 1

Location: 41, Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul

Hours: 17:00-23:00

 

     I personally think Christmas is the best holiday, and thinking that there is going to be a festival sound really exciting. With light installations, a sizable Christmas tree, and Santa Village along Cheonggyecheon Stream from Cheonggye Plaza to Jangtonggyo Bridge, the Seoul Christmas Festival offers a wonderful holiday experience.

Seoul Land Winter Festival of Lights

Date: Dec 03~ Mar 14

Location: 432, Sumogwon-ro, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do

Hours: Weekdays & Sundays 11:00-21:00

Saturdays & Public holidays 11:00-23:00

 

     This festival is one of the best festivals out in Seoul, with so many things to explore and have fun with. Going from an impressive illumination, snow park (120m long snow shedding slope, a snow playground, ice & smelt fishing), music performances, 3D laser show, and much more. Around they have street food as well to stay full. This event goes on from November to March.
